Reaching equivalence from English to Arabic in audiovisual translation presents several challenges for translators due to the complex understanding of linguistic, cultural, and technical factors. This research aims to analyze translation strategies in AVT, focusing on achieving equivalence and cross-cultural communication in English-Arabic film “Disenchantment” as a case study produced by Matt Groening, relying on methods proposed by Nida for achieving equivalence. We then depend specifically on the analytical theory of translation, which focuses on examining the linguistic and structural elements of both the source and target texts. The idea of the linguistic register in this text can be determined by emphasizing the importance and indispensability of the translator’s cultural understanding. The translator must be familiar with linguistic and cultural factors to ensure equality in audiovisual translation, with an emphasis on cross-cultural exchange and accurate understanding of context
